An optimistic meditation on puppy raising for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and other adventures in chaos. Murphy (Wella x Farrell), the first pup we raised, is a male black Lab who graduated in June 2007 and is working as a guide dog in Wyoming. The second pup, Nettie (Quarry x Evan), a female yellow Lab, arrived in mid-February 2007 at 6 months old and stayed with us for a year. She graduated in August 2008 and is working as a guide dog in Kansas.
I'm a slightly harried wife, mother and journalist, with one understanding husband, two great kids, two cats and usually at least one Lab, managing controlled insanity at a place we call Chaos Hill.

Haha, I know the feeling. You would think we are killing them by the way some act during grooming...
So when are we going to hear about the NY trip? I want to hear all about Murphy!
